Dubai to London

A brief  stop in Dubai, just enough time to purchase some duty free. The choices are much the same as in Melbourne but the prices - at least twenty percent better.
Again, not surprised, but Dubai International Airport doesn’t sleep either. Planes taking off, landing, boarding and disembarking, even in the wee hours of the morning - truly a mini-city that doesn’t sleep.

The flight to London is akin to the red-eye - an overnight flight landing in early morning London time. A light snack served before an opportunity to sleep for the rest of the flight.
As it turned out not a lot of sleeping before we arrived in London where James was waiting for us. Getting through Border Security was a bit of a bun fight. Large queues of arrivals waiting to be checked with only a handful of officers to do the checking. When suggesting to one officer that the queues were rather long, his reply was that it gets greater as the day progresses!
Spent the afternoon resting and catching up with James.

Later went for a meal at WTF Fish and Chips - very tasty.
Home for an early night. Bet we sleep well too!
